Casa Grande First Impressions Team Leader
 Hi, I'm Kat. My goal is that your first impression of Christ Life Church Casa Grande campus is a moving one. Our mission is to Reach, Impact, and Empower people to a life changing relationship with God. My prayer is that God will use me to invite you to Him and a relationship with Him.
Basic Stuff: My husband and I are from California. Been in the valley since 2001. Married in 2003. Joined CLC in late 2007. Haven't been in church for over 20 years prior and we have found God at CLC. We have 4 dogs and live in Maricopa, AZ. Yes, Maricopa and there is a Wal-Mart and a McDonald's so we are on the map! We are season ticket holders to the DiamondBacks!
Birthday: July 12, we don't need to discuss the year right?
Education: AA in Business Admin and followed a professional career in Sales. I believe that education should be a lifetime goal, and not a four year term. I continue to take classes and continue to strive toward that goal off and on.
Interests and Favorites:
- Places: love to travel - but what moves me is nature. The Grand Canyon is one of the most beautiful places on earth and it is in our back yard. I lived there for 6 months in the mid 90's and my life was changed. My husband proposed there because he knew what it meant to me. We have traveled to many places in and out of the USA but next want to travel to Scotland and Ireland.
- Books: Captivating, by Staci Eldridge changed the way I view my relationship with God. The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren helped me to take things one day at a time and to put purpose behind my actions and words. I love discovering myself in books! I have to admit that I love to read, but I am so impatient that I would much rather watch a movie, if it is not related to "self-discovery" or "self-help" sort of thing. I did however read the "Twilite" series of books and found the love story to over shadow the gruesome parts of the vampire life, and that made them well worth the read for me! A romantic at heart for sure! Through any circumstance!
- Movies: All time favorite - Field of Dreams! There are tons of great movies out there and I LOVE movies!!! Shawshank Redemption, The Notebook, Big Fish, Memoirs of a Geisha, StepMom, and Finding Neverland, are some that I find myself watching over and over....
- Dislikes: bathing all four dogs and having to brush their teeth! Four is alot!!
- Odd Facts: My grandfather was Fred Maddox of The Maddox Bros. & Rose. The first Rockabilly band in America. He taught me so much about life, love, and happiness! I love to sing, but am so shy about speaking in public that I often cry! UGH! I'm such a wimp! sshhhh!
- Life Scripture: Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God". My prayer everyday is that God allow me to trust Him, to not only believe IN Him, but to actually BELIEVE Him and know that everything is going according to plan. I pray that He show Himself to me in ways that only He can, and you know what? He does!
