 PAUL & DEBORAH SMITH Casa Grande Connections Coordinator Basic Stuff:  Both Paul and Deborah were born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They married on November 17, 1973 and both attended college in Philadelphia, Virginia and Washington, DC. They have 2 daughters Andrea (age 34) and Tiffany (age 33), who are both are married and we have wonderful son-in-laws; Mike and Joe. Our pride and joy are our granddaughters, Kennedy (age 8) and Morgan (age 6) who resides in Waldorf, Maryland with their parents Tiffany and Joe. Paul retired from US airways after more than 25 years and we moved to Mesa, Arizona from our home of 25 years in Alexandria, Virginia. Paul's father founded Community Bible Tabernacle in Philadelphia for more than 35 years. Paul worked closely by his dad's side as the Church Administrator and also held several other leadership roles; choir member, Youth leader, church van driver, just to name a few. Deborah's employment career consisted of mainly administrative, IT and social services. Deborah was a disaster worker for the American Red Cross for the past 6 years. She is also an entrepreneur, owns investment property, and has a notary business. Deborah states that 'serving gives me such a great feeling of humbleness and worth.' She has served on the homeless ministry, senior citizens club, hospitality ministry, women's affairs, and usher ministry while living on the East Coast. Both Paul and Deborah love and enjoy working at Christ Life Church Casa Grande.Birthday: Paul was born on June 18, 1953. Deborah was born on January 13, 1954 Education: Paul has taken college courses toward a degree in Accounting and realtor certification. Deborah is working on courses toward a BA in Business Administration (only 4 classes to completion!). Interest & Favorites: Both Paul and Deborah love to travel!! Paul loves sports and his favorite teams are the Eagles and Yankees. He is a Starbucks fanatic and a history/politics buff. He is still somewhat old school; enjoys reading a hard copy newspaper w/ his coffee and just recently learned how to text! Deborah enjoys helping and serving people in need. She enjoys trying out new foods and restaurants. Deborah likes reading self help books, going to flea markets and garage sales and she just learned how to text too!!! Movies we like: Paul's favorite movie is 'The Godfather' and Deborah's is 'Shall we Dance.' Life Scripture: Paul's life scripture is Matthew 19:26,…. 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.' Deborah's life scripture is Psalm 20:7, 'Some trust in chariots and some trust in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God and Proverbs 18:10, 'The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.' |
